Todd Gray
Executive Director Treasurer of the Kentucky Baptist Convention

Todd is the youngest son of Sidney and Cookie Gray. He was born
and raised in Lyon County, Kentucky and graduated from Lyon County
High School in 1982. He went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in
marketing at Murray State University in 1987.
After graduation, Todd went to work as a salesman in Indianapolis,
Indiana. It was while living in Indianapolis he received The Lord and
surrendered to the Gospel Ministry.
Todd served as senior pastor of three separate churches over a
period of twenty years in Kentucky and Indiana, most recently at First
Baptist Church of Oak Grove. He has completed both Masters of Divinity
and Doctor of Ministry degrees at The Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary in Louisville.
In July of 2012, he began work with the Kentucky Baptist
Convention as a Regional Consultant in the West Kentucky region. In
October of 2016 he transitioned to the role of Team Leader for Evangelism,
Church Planting, and Collegiate Ministry for KBC. In July of 2019, Todd
was elected by the KBC Mission Board to become the Executive Director-
Treasurer.
Todd is married to Connie, his wife of 33 years, and is the father of
two adult daughters, Khera and Anna.

Seth Carter
Pastor of Paintsville First Baptist Church

Seth Carter is the pastor of First Baptist Church of Paintsville. He is married to his beloved wife Emily, and they have been blessed with four boys: Brody, Bentley, Bailey, and Barrett. Seth is a graduate of Boyce College. He has a passion for expository preaching, discipleship, and leadership development in the local church. He is the author of Firm Foundations: A Question-and-Answer Guide to the Baptist Faith and Message. 

Randy McPheron
Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church

Randy McPheron serves as the Associational Mission Strategist for Rockcastle Baptist Association, and as an itinerant evangelist with Touch of Hope Ministries. He received a bachelor’s degree from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College, and attended The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brother Randy served as a Kentucky Baptist pastor for over 20 years before entering into evangelism. Randy and his wife Lisa have three children and six grandchildren. They live in Mt. Vernon where Lisa owns and operates Tic Toc Christian Preschool. Randy has conducted mission work in Brazil, Africa, The Philippines, Nicaragua and Alaska. He has also led hundreds of Revivals and evangelistic events in the southeastern United States, and is the author of a devotion book, “Journey 52”. On March 16, 2025 Randy was called as pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Berea, Kentucky. Brother Randy previously served the church from 1991-2000. Now, after 25 years he is back to Bethel!

Josh Schmidt
Senior Pastor of Burlington Baptist Church

Dr. Josh Schmidt serves as the Senior Pastor of Burlington Baptist Church in Northern Kentucky. Prior to this role, he was a lifelong Eastern Kentuckian, having grown up in Inez and serving in Carter County. Josh has a deep passion for the local church, particularly in rural communities.

Jason Bubba Stewart
Worship and Ministry Consultant for the Kentucky Baptist Convention

Jason “Bubba” Stewart has served as the Worship & Music Consultant for the Kentucky Baptist Convention since 2008, supporting churches and leading music enrichment for all ages. He holds a BA in Music from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Divinity in Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Since 1989, Bubba has served in music and worship ministry across Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, and South Carolina. He and his wife, Stephanie, recently celebrated 29 years of marriage and have two adult children, Evan (married to Heather) and Ashlan (married to Chase) and three wonderful grandchildren. Their entire family is actively involved in ministry at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville.

Bubba’s passion is helping congregations find their voice and sing wholeheartedly to the glory of God. Soli Deo Gloria!

Norm Marcum
Worship Leader at Fitzpatrick Baptist Church

Music Minister Norm Marcum has spent over 40 years sharing the gospel in song, 20 of those as Worship Leader at Fitzpatrick Baptist Church in Prestonsburg. Norm is a school teacher, community leader and family geneologist. He and wife Kim live in Prestonsburg & have a son, Jordan, daughter in law Aleshia and two grandchildren, Theo & Sully.
